More than just a sauna, the Offshore Sauna is an invitation to return to the essentials: to slow down, breathe more deeply, and reconnect with nature, with ourselves, and with others.
Founded by Maria and Anthony, two souls connected to the sea, it was born out of a life spent diving, sailing, and riding the waves. Maria is Portuguese—a scuba diving instructor, sailor, and surfer. Anthony grew up in New Zealand, surrounded by the ocean and boats. Together, they know the feeling of stepping out of the cold water, with goosebumps and their bodies craving warmth.
That was the moment Offshore Sauna was born: the haven you’ve always longed to find on land, where the warmth of the firewood envelops your body and the ocean remains close by.
Today, they bring this sanctuary to remote and wild corners of the Portuguese coast, where the horizon opens up and the world slows down. The warmth of the fire. The vastness of the sea. The time to simply be.

About Us
Built from Japanese cedar and designed with German engineering precision, our sauna is a haven of comfort and renewal, where the wood, the heat, and the natural aromas invite you to leave the outside world behind and slow down.
Between the enveloping warmth of the sauna and the invigorating coolness of a dip in cold water, discover the balance of the elements. With room for up to nine people and a freshwater shower, it’s a place to share conversations, moments of silence, and moments of true presence.
On the hot stones, essential oils release natural aromas that envelop the senses, while the heat invites the body to relax and the breath to slow down.
An invitation to reconnect with nature, find balance between warmth and coolness, and enjoy the simple pleasure of just being.
